Worship

The goal of our worship ministry flows from our church's vision.  We seek to make mature disciples of Jesus Christ through our worship ministry.  We do that in three ways.

First, we magnify our Lord in worship. (John 4:24)
Second, we instruct our saints in righteousness. (Colossians 3:16-17)
Third, we train our servants in musicianship and artistic expression. (2 Samuel 24:24; Malachi 1:6-8; Hebrews 13:15)

If you would like to be a part of what God is doing at First Baptist, there are a number of ways to get plugged in to the worship ministry.

Our choir is the backbone of the worship ministry at First Baptist Church because we lead the congregation to sing praise to the Lord. No audition is required. Just come to one of our rehearsals on Wednesday nights at 7:05pm in the choir room downstairs near the church office. We sing almost every Sunday from August through June. We also present special music for seasonal events throughout the year. Listen to our playlist.

Our vocal team leads worship each Sunday morning. Members of the praise team are auditioned and selected from the choir. They are also rotated on a weekly basis so that all praise team members have an opportunity to serve.

Our instrumentalists love to worship, providing support for us as we sing for God’s glory each Sunday morning. If you are interested in serving here, please contact the Minister of Worship to set up an interview.

Our tech team is an integral part of our worship services at First Baptist Church. They are a dedicated group of people who provide projection, lighting, and sound support each Sunday and for other special events. If God has gifted you in this area, or if you simply have an interest, let us know. We would love to get you involved.
